With construction completion scheduled for 2019, the twin towers on the grounds of the Century Plaza hotel are a new evolution for urban living in Century City. A total of 363 condominium units ranging from 1,000 square feet and 1 bedroom to more than 2,450 square feet and 3 bedrooms, will comprise the two 46-floor architectural towers, which are designed to integrate seamlessly with the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel. Residents of the towers will have access to all of the amenities of the hotel in addition to their own residential amenities and services.

Intended to be integrated with the classic Century Plaza hotel designed by Minoru Yamasaki, the Century Plaza condominiums offer a walkable, contemporary version of urban Los Angeles living. Developers intend the Century Plaza residences to be the centerpiece of “the future of our city.” Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, Gensler, and Marmol Radziner have created the new design for the Century Towers and exterior and interior spaces which include glass dining pavilions and cascading pools. The buildings are adjacent to the Westfield Century City shopping center, which is currently under renovation and re-visioning, intended to be the premier retail shopping destination in the area once it is complete.

Views from the higher floors of the towers will look west to the Pacific ocean, and enjoy additional expansive views of city lights and the hills of Bel Air and Brentwood. Design includes bent-glass balconies which seamlessly blend interior and exterior. Building amenities are designed to support turn-key lifestyles, incorporated into vertical estate residences. Amenities will include the pool, fitness center, a screening room, party spaces, and private wine cellar storage. Also on-site will be a library and a chef’s kitchen backed by 24-hour concierge services.

Every residence will have a fireplace, and the majority of floor plans are open and offer panoramic views. The “open master design is really difficult to find in urban settings,” designer George Yabu says. Co-designer Glenn Pushelberg said that the residences are intended to appeal to “residents who are well-informed from a design perspective.” The new Century Plaza condominiums are intended to convey timelessness and quiet luxury. The Century Plaza tower residences are completely full-service, with homeowner’s association fees ranging from $2,000 to $5,000. Immediately adjacent to the Westfield Century City Plaza, the residences offer the finest in Los Angeles’ shopping, dining, and nightlife.
