Culver City is a vibrant and bustling city in the greater Los Angeles area. An epicenter for movie and television production, the first studio was built in the burgeoning city in 1918. In the years since, Culver City’s vast studios have served as a backdrop for nearly countless famous films. The city is also known for its innovation and creativity, family-friendly environment, and accessible real estate. As founder Harry Culver once said, “All roads lead to Culver City.”

Culver City is surrounded by the city of Los Angeles. More specifically, the LA neighborhoods of Palms and Mar Vista are to the north; Westchester is to the south; Venice, Marina del Rey, and Playa Vista are to the west; West Adams and Mid-City are to the east; and Ladera Heights and Baldwin Hills are to the southeast of the city. The just over five square miles making up Culver City is home to Sony Pictures Entertainment. The massive Sony Pictures Studios complex was the original studio of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and now holds Columbia Pictures, TriStar Pictures, and Screen Gems. Tours of the lot are popular with both tourists visiting LA and those just looking to see film and television production in action. Culver City also hosts the headquarters of the NFL Network and National Public Radio West. Other attractions in the beautiful city include the Westfield Culver City shopping mall and the historic Culver Hotel.

Culver City real estate ranges from condominiums to single-family homes. The highly desirable residences typically feature traditional or Spanish-style architecture. Multiple bicycle paths traverse the city, and residents enjoy the multitude of galleries, boutiques, restaurants, and cafes in the downtown area. Downtown Culver City also hosts a farmers’ market every Tuesday on Main Street. For commuters, the city is served by Interstate 405, Interstate 10, and California State Route 90. This city within a city offers a convenient location and an abundance of small-town charm.
