In an already exclusive and sought-after area, The Sand Dune is one of the most desirable locales. Sometimes called the “Malibu Riviera,” The Sand Dune is located on the northwestward-facing portion of Point Dume with approximately 40 homes that overlook Point Dume State Beach. The majority of properties have been developed in more recent years, although there may be some original California Ranch homes available on the inland side of the neighbourhood. Living on Point Dume has a rural, isolated feeling although no home is located more than a few minutes from Pacific Coast Highway. There are no stop signs or lights on the peninsula and no sidewalks. People ride horses, walk, or drive golf carts to get around.
