Marina del Rey

Now containing the world’s largest man-made small craft harbor that was once marshland only frequented by duck hunters, Marina del Rey is truly one-of-a-kind. This quaint city is comprised of 1.5 square miles of charming beach bungalows, sprawling estate homes, and oceanfront condominiums. The tree-lined streets and scenic views attract families and others looking for plenty of leisure opportunities in a convenient Los Angeles location.

Marina del Rey is located along the Pacific coast, just south of Venice Beach and north of Playa del Rey. The beach-style homes, the actual beach, and the strip of land by the beach are in the same zip code as Marina del Rey, but the area is known as the Marina Peninsula. The quintessential beachfront town is served by the three-mile-long Marina Freeway. This freeway easily links to the 405 and nearby Culver City.

Marina del Rey is home to the UCLA Marina Aquatic Center and the USC Information Sciences Institute. The Fisherman’s Village is one of the main attractions and features a series of  New England-style buildings. The village boasts a waterfront mall, a lighthouse, entertainment and dining options, and ferries to Catalina Island. Chace Park holds the Marina del Rey Summer Concert Series on Thursdays and Saturdays throughout the summer months. If that’s not enough to keep residents and visitors entertained, Marina del Rey also hosts the Ballona Wetlands and numerous yacht clubs.

Marina del Rey real estate is as diverse as the city itself. From luxury high-rises and oceanfront estates to quaint homes and beach-style apartments, Marina del Rey appeals to a wide range of buyers. The affluent community draws in residents and tourists with its small-town atmosphere in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. Residents enjoy boating, sailing, and fishing. Many of the beachfront homes showcase views of the harbor and ocean. Some even enjoy private beach access. For frequent business travelers, Marina del Rey is only four miles north of Los Angeles International Airport.
