Few people fail to see the dramatic white arch for the entrance to Newport Coast when they’re driving down Pacific Coast Highway on Newport’s Gold Coast. Equally dramatic views of the blue Pacific and waves crashing on white sand beaches delight residents and visitors.

Newport Coast was integrated into the city of Newport Beach in 2001; previously, the 27 distinct neighborhoods that comprise the Coast were a separate small city. With about 10,000 residents, Newport Coast maintains its unique character and flair.

Newport Coast homes overlook the Pacific and Crystal Cove State Park, which includes several white sand beaches, miles of inland hiking and biking trails, and a unique underwater snorkeling park: the Crystal Cove marine reserve. Crystal Cove also includes the Historic District of surfside cabins and a charming beach restaurant and cove accessible only by walking or shuttle bus.

Newport Coast is primarily comprised of planned neighborhoods, including Rivage, Montserrat, Cassis, Campobello, and Aubergine. The Mediterranean influence is notable in not only architecture but also weather and geography. Homes on ridges overlooking the Pacific may enjoy views as far as Catalina Island and beyond on clear days as well as Newport Harbor and other OC Riviera communities and preserved natural areas.

The Pelican Hill Resort and Golf Courses are adjacent to Newport Coast, including exclusive communities of Ocean Ridge EstatesPelican Crest, and Pelican Ridge Estates. You may find 24-hour guard gated communities in Newport Coast, along with other private communities and a variety of security options and levels of homeowner’s association fees. The majority of Newport Coast gated communities include private clubhouses, sports facilities including tennis courts, and pools and spas. You may find some homes in Newport Coast which were featured on “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” and Kobe Bryant has bought and sold homes in the Coast since 2001.
