Pacific Palisades is an idyllic community in Los Angeles’ Westside located where the Santa Monica Mountains meet the Pacific Ocean. The affluent enclave earned its name from the scenic bluffs overlooking the spot where famed Sunset Boulevard reaches the sea. The multiple canyons throughout the highly sought-after neighborhood afford many of the spectacular residences breathtaking views of the nearby ocean and surrounding mountain landscape.

Pacific Palisades is ideally nestled between Santa Monica to the south, Malibu to the north, and Brentwood to the east. The prestigious community is easily accessed via the Pacific Coast Highway or the 405 Freeway. Pacific Palisades is extremely popular with families, due to the high-quality public and private schools. All of the public schools in the neighborhood are charter schools. The community is also desirable to others looking for a tight-knit community near the beach.

Pacific Palisades is home to vast parkland and numerous hiking trails. This includes the renowned Will Rogers State Historic Park. This impressive open space offers a 31-room ranch house, horseback riding, hiking, occasional movies in the park, and the Will Rogers Polo Park. Outside of Will Rogers State Park, Temescal Canyon also offers numerous popular hiking trails. Pacific Palisades also hosts the acclaimed Getty Villa and Riviera Country Club. The private Riviera Country Club features a championship golf course that is currently scheduled to host golf during the 2028 Olympic Summer Games.

Pacific Palisades real estate largely consists of single-family homes, although there are some condominiums in the community. The single-family homes range from comfortable family bungalows to sprawling estates nestled high in the bluffs. Residents enjoy meandering around The Village — Pacific Palisades’ central business district, offering numerous boutiques, cafes, and restaurants. The Village also hosts a weekly farmers’ market on Sundays. For residents in the northern portion of the community, the Palisades Highlands area boasts its own shopping center. For ocean enthusiasts, the beach is no more than 10 minutes away.
