Summit Palisades Highlands

The Summit at Palisades Highlands is not just one community, but it is actually four gated mini-communities, which include The Enclave, The Peninsula, Seascapes and Altamira. As its name implies, this luxury community is located at the highest point — or summit — of the Pacific Palisades development known as The Highlands. First developed in the late 1990s, the approximately 300 houses located in these developments are some of the newest in the Pacific Palisades.

Each of the small gated communities has something special to offer potential homeowners. For example, many of the homes in the Seascapes, The Peninsula and Altamira offer stunning canyon and ocean views; while The Enclave boasts a guarded entry point.

The one thing that all of these houses do boast, however, is access to the exclusive Summit Club. This large facility has a slew of amenities, including a heated pool, a gym, tennis courts and a playground. And during the year, it also hosts many community activities, such as barbecues and movie nights, for homeowners. The mini-communities located closest to the Summit Club are Seascapes and Altamira. All of these four mini-communities do charge a homeowner’s association fee, which varies, from about 0 to just over 0 for The Peninsula and higher.

In general, the Pacific Palisades is situated in the Santa Monica Mountains between Santa Monica to the south, Malibu to the north and the Pacific Ocean to the West. Because of its location, the Summit at Palisades Highlands is an excellent community for those who enjoy the great outdoors. It is just a short distance from Topanga State Park and its many biking and hiking trails, and it is just a quick drive to area beaches. This community is also just minutes away from two major thoroughfares, Sunset Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway. Shopping and other amenities are also nearby. For example, Santa Monica’s trendy and happening Third Street Promenade is located just 15 minutes from The Summit at Palisades Highlands.
