Traveling south of Corona del Mar on Pacific Coast Highway you will see the imposing gate of Pelican Point on the coastal side of the Pacific Coast Highway. The 24-hour guard-gated secure community encompasses 55 estate homes located on two exclusive streets: Pelican Point Drive and Shoreview Drive. Homes in Pelican Point began to be developed and built in the mid-1990s, with some estates built in the mid- to late-2000s.

Pelican Point is the only gated Newport Coast community located on the ocean side of Pacific Coast Highway. Homeowner’s association dues are approximately $650 to $750 a month and maintain streets, common area landscaping, lighting, and 24-hour security and guard gates. The homes in Pelican Point are exclusively custom-built estate homes with styles that reflect the unique tastes of their owners. The homes start at approximately $7.5 million dollars and range to well over $20 million. Views of the ocean, golf course, and Catalina Island are present in every home. The majority of homes in Pelican Point are 7,000 to 10,000 square feet, with four to six bedrooms and multiple baths.

Pelican Point’s homes are often featured on luxury estate television shows. Noted Orange County and Bravo TV real estate broker Spyro Kemble and his wife Tracy owned one of Pelican Point’s prestigious European-inspired estates.

The gated community is located at the end of Newport Coast Drive, near one of the three entrances to Crystal Cove State Park. You will have private beach access through the gated Pelican Point development, and you are right by the entrance to Crystal Cove’s unique nature preserve. From Treasure Cove, you can access other beaches easily including Corona Del Mar Beach and Little Corona beach. Pelican Point’s homes feature peerless details, including stunning oceanview pools, Roman and Greek-inspired arches and multi-level pools and landscaped gardens. The majority of homes have a Tuscan, Mediterranean, or Spanish architectural theme.

Although each of Pelican Point’s estate homes is uniquely-designed and built, the community shares a harmony which creates a parklike, serene atmosphere within the sound of crashing waves. Few locales on California’s Riviera are as breathtaking and exclusive as Pelican Point.
