The most southerly of Los Angeles’ three South Bay beach communities, Redondo Beach lies between Manhattan Beach and the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Redondo has many choices for luxury beachfront and beach-adjacent living ranging from luxury condos to beachfront estates along the elegant Esplanade.

Redondo has one of the most enjoyable and unique downtown areas of Los Angeles’ beachfront communities. Riviera Village offers excellent dining and entertainment opportunities along with charming boutiques for fashion, art, jewelry, and home decor. King Harbor Marina offers boat launches, scenic views, and excellent dining options. Redondo’s pier is a landmark pier with fishing, dining, entertainment, and shopping.

Beachfront homes are primarily located off Esplanade, which is parallel with the ocean. Along with architecturally-modern multi-story beachfront homes built to maximize oceanfront living space, Redondo also includes some Mediterranean, Tuscan, and Cape Cod-styled custom waterfront estate homes. Esplanade runs from Veterans Park to Miramar Park and Torrance Beach. Luxury condominiums ranging from one to four bedrooms may also be found buildings that include Surfrider, Vista Bahia, Seascape, and Riviera Shores. In addition to the Riviera neighborhood, other desirable neighborhoods in Redondo include South Redondo (South of Torrance Blvd) and South of PCH.

Redondo Beach schools are rated #23 in California and are ranked as “elite” California schools with high academic test scores and college transfer rates. Redondo’s quality of life enabled it to be ranked #1 in California by Street Advisor. A wealth of different neighborhoods offer many different lifestyle options, from the “jewel streets” in South Redondo to the “sister streets” which provide family-friendly single-family homes. Redondo is in many ways the center of culture in South Bay, with its performing arts center and many cultural events. It is also the site of South Bay Galleria, the largest traditional retail shopping center in South Bay. In addition to its extensive white sand beaches dotted with volleyball courts and lined with cycling and jogging paths, Redondo also has many sports leagues and recreation centers, along with Wilderness Park and unique Seaside Lagoon. Redondo is a down-to-earth beach community with culture and class: the biggest bonus may be that it is situated on hills which offer many different views of the Pacific and city lights from Palos Verdes to Santa Monica.
