Studio City is a vibrant city in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley. Named after a studio lot first established in 1927, Studio City is now recognized as being one of the Valley’s most fashionable neighborhoods. The city is both modern and trendy, yet it still offers that elusive small-town ambiance. Encompassing an area of just over six square miles, the community is full of desirable real estate, locally owned restaurants, and a renowned shopping district.

Studio City acts as a gateway between the San Fernando Valley and the rest of Los Angeles. It is bordered by Sherman Oaks to the west, Toluca Lake and Universal City to the east, Valley Village to the north, Hollywood Hills West to the south, and Beverly Crest to the southwest. It is located just over 30 minutes from the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and 15 minutes from the center of Hollywood. Commuters from the city generally use the 101 Freeway or a more scenic route through Laurel Canyon.

Like its name implies, Studio City is home to the CBS Studio Center. The sprawling complex is the area’s top employer. It is comprised of 18 sound stages of various sizes, approximately 220,000 square feet of office space, and over 220 dressing rooms. Every Fourth of July, Studio City puts on a spectacular fireworks display from the CBS Studio lot.

Studio City real estate varies from urban condominiums to luxury townhomes and from quaint bungalows along tree-lined streets to sprawling hilltop estates. It is often regarded as one of the top places to raise a family in Los Angeles. There are numerous parks, and the Sunday farmers’ market is one of LA’s best. Ventura Boulevard hosts premier nightlife, stylish boutiques, and world-class restaurants. Studio City attracts people from the various entertainment industries, along with families looking for a safe and lively place to call home.
