Vista Pointe
Vista Pointe is one of the guard gated and luxury communities that makes up the residential areas of Calabasas, California. Calabasas is an affluent city in the area of Los Angeles and the community of Vista Pointe directly reflects that. It is just a little bit north of the Calabasas Country Club and many of the homes provide a good view of the area as a result. It is a very secure community as well because of the one entrance and the fact that it is gated.
The community was established in the mid 1980s when many of the homes were built. Currently, there are approximately 151 single family homes in the area. The homes that are located within Vista Pointe tend to have larger layouts and they can range in size between 3,000 square feet and 10,000 square feet. The homes also have, on average, anywhere from 4-6 bedrooms and 4-6 bathrooms. Because of the sizes, the way they were built, and the location, the prices for the homes, which can range anywhere from $1 million to $8 million.
Because of the luxury of the area, it should come as no surprise that these homes have luxury features both inside and out. Each home is unique because of how they were designed, which means it is not a cookie cutter neighborhood. Also, it is not rare to find that many of the homes have had some renovations and upgrades because they were built around 30 years ago. Inside the homes you will find various renovated areas, high end and fairly new appliances, and much more. Outside of the homes, it is not rare to find some elaborate outdoor entertaining spaces including swimming pools and outdoor kitchens. As part of living in the community, there are some HOA fees, which are around $220 per month. The fees are used to provide the added protection for the community, maintain the gate, provide landscaping for the common areas, and more.
The school district that serves the community is the Las Virgenes Unified School District. This is a coveted school district and the schools that serve the area include the Bay Laurel Elementary School, the Alice C. Steele Middle School, and the Calabasas High School. As one of the top-rated school districts in the state, it is a very respected and sought-after area for people who have school-age children.
