Santa Monica is located along three miles of the beautiful Pacific coastline. The city is bordered by Venice to the south, Pacific Palisades to the north, West LA to the east, and Brentwood to the northeast. The beach is separated from the city by bluffs, which create spectacular panoramic views from Palisades Park and other open areas. Interstate 10 originates in Santa Monica, and the Pacific Coast Highway runs along its western edge.

Santa Monica is home to numerous important corporations. It serves as international headquarters of the Universal Music Group, Hulu, TOMS Shoes, Macerich, and Lionsgate Films. Furthermore, many venture capital-funded startups are currently located in the popular city.
